Gay Campbell first started creating announcement signs in 2002 as an alternative to the cookie-cutter sign she herself was once given. She chose to create signs that not only served to celebrate an event in someone's life, but were also pieces of art. Trained as an artist at the University of North Texas and inspired by a father who was once a woodshop teacher, Gay created the pieces of art that have helped hundreds of North Texans commemorate a special day.
